ABOUT ME

Anyan Qi is an Associate Professor of Operations Management at the Naveen Jindal School of Management (JSOM) at the University of Texas at Dallas (UT-Dallas). His primary research interests are in socially responsible operations, strategic procurement, and capacity management in modern supply chains, where he leverages tools such as game theory, behavioral experiments, and data-driven optimization. His work has been published in Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Operations Research, and Production and Operations Management.

As an active member of the academic community, Anyan serves as an Associate Editor for Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, a Senior Editor for Production and Operations Management, an Associate Editor for Decision Sciences, a Department Editor for the Journal of Systems Science and Systems Engineering, and a Guest Associate Editor for Management Science. He has received the Management Science Distinguished Service Award, the Management Science Meritorious Service Award, and the M&SOM Meritorious Service Award. In JSOM, he also serves as the PhD Area Coordinator for Operations Management (Program LinkedIn Page).

Before joining UT-Dallas, Anyan earned a Ph.D. degree in Technology and Operations from the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, a Bachelor’s degree in Automation from the School of Information Science and Technology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the School of Economics and Management in Tsinghua University.
